Job Purpose: To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and traffic signs, and giving due regard to other road users.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
- Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
- Maintain the vehicle's internal and external condition and cleanliness.
- Ensure sufficient fuel for the day's work.
- Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
- Check all orders on drop sheets and ensure all are loaded.
- Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins, and return them to the branch as instructed.
- Deal promptly and correctly with damages/breakages, especially HazChem items.
- Maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
- Participate in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by management.
- Meet all Health & Safety requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- A full driving license relevant to the vehicle. Assessment of risk regarding points on the license may affect employment decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Intermediate numeracy and literacy.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
- Route planning experience.
