Job Title: Multi Drop Van Driver

Location: LETCHWORTH

Hours per week: 48hrs M/T/W/TH/F and Sat

Salary: £35,842.56

Job Purpose: To ensure the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of pharmaceuticals to pharmacies and hospitals.

Key Accountabilities

1. Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and traffic signs, and giving due regard to other road users.
2. Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
3. Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays.
4. Maintain the vehicle\’s internal and external condition and cleanliness.
5. Ensure sufficient fuel for the day\’s work.
6. Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
7. Check all orders on drop sheets and ensure all are loaded.
8. Collect goods returned for credit, mail, delivery bins, and return them to the branch as instructed.
9. Deal promptly and correctly with damages/breakages, especially HazChem items.
10. Maintain a smart appearance and good customer relations.
11. Participate in other duties including warehouse tasks as defined by management.
12. Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

1. A full driving license relevant to the vehicle.
2. Assessment of risk regarding points on the license may affect employment decisions.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Excellent customer care skills.
5. Intermediate numeracy and literacy.

Desirable Skills

1. Previous experience in multi-drop delivery driving.
2. Route planning experience.

Manual Handling
