The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months.As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Graduate Power Engineer to design, implement and test motor control units to meet the system and equipment requirements and to a certifiable standard for aerospace applications.Key responsibilities will include:Support / Contribute to the inverter and converter power developmentSupporting the safety case (ARP4754A/DO254) of the systemSupporting the design, development, debug and validation of power electronics for use in inverter and converter products for aerospace applications.Supporting simulation and evaluation of EMC, power and thermal modelsSchematic capture, PCB layout design and manufacturing supportEvaluating component lifetime, limits and deratingSupporting EMC testing and the development of technical filesGenerating documentation including designs, analysis, simulation and reviewsContribute to developing the team\’s technologies, capabilities, facilities, and processes.Skills and experience required:Degree or equivalent in electrical / electronic engineering, or a demonstrable level of relevant industrial experienceAwareness of power electronic devices (IGBTs, MOSFETs, wideband gap devices, Capacitors, Current sensors)Perform design analysis, including worst-case, tolerance, thermal, and stressUsing ECAD tools including Mathcad, Simulink, Schematic, PCB, Modelling, SimulationAwareness of EMC compliance and best practicesDeveloping products that comply with functional safety standards (such as ARP4754A / DO254 / ISO26262)Working with high voltage / high current / high-energy systems, following safe systems of workGood communication skills (both written and verbal), good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across teamsInstinctive problem-solving skills coupled with a sound analytical approachGenerating documentation to a high standard for internal and external customersModelling, simulation and analysis of power devices for inverter systems.Desirable:A \’self-starter\’ attitude with the ability to thrive in a small business environmentAbility to work under pressure and manage conflict, demands and deadlinesFlexible approach to workResults-orientated, and able to deliver business valueAbility and willingness to travel around the UK and Europe.Are you Evolito?Apply now for immediate consideration.
