POST Recruitment are proud to be working with a fast-growing commercial interiors and fit-out specialist to recruit an experienced Fit-Out Project Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on project leader with a passion for delivering high-spec commercial environments and a knack for keeping projects running like clockwork.
The Role:
As Fit-Out Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership of project delivery - from initial handover through to snagging and final client sign-off. You’ll act as the key point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring all work is completed on time, to spec, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend project handover meetings with the Sales team and Quantity Surveyor (QS) to review scope of works, plans, and QWS documentation.
- Conduct site visits with Sales/QS to meet clients, complete GIRFT policy documentation, and agree on project timelines, access, finishes, and responsibilities.
- Define responsibility for RAMS, CDM compliance, building regulations, and planning where applicable.
- Accurately measure for bespoke items and verify material quantities on site.
- Create and maintain a critical path for each project, updated daily throughout the build.
- Manage material and labour costs, ensuring alignment with QWS before placing orders.
- Source and assess subcontractor quotes (specs, drawings, meterage) and award best value in conjunction with QS for items over £1,000.
- Coordinate and review RAMS for all trades prior to site activity.
- Work with the Operations Manager to procure materials, labour, equipment, and skips, ensuring all have appropriate purchase orders.
- Schedule and manage site set-up, deliveries, and clearances.
- Use WhatsApp groups to communicate project updates, sharing daily video bulletins after each site visit.
- Oversee first-day site set-up, ensuring compliance with signage, PPE, and first aid requirements.
- Welcome and brief contractors as each new trade begins.
- Conduct efficient site visits and communicate updates by 9AM each day.
- Proactively resolve issues and liaise with the Sales team, QS, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure the site is cleared at completion, manage snagging, and oversee resolution to client satisfaction.
- Sign off and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices post-project.
About You:
- Proven experience in delivering commercial fit-out projects (office, retail, or similar).
- Strong working knowledge of RAMS, CDM, building regulations, and planning processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, process-driven, and comfortable managing multiple trades.
- Driving license is required.
