By joining our Auto Services team you’ll become a part of a network of repair centres with one simple mission: to deliver high-quality repairs as quickly and efficiently as possible for our more than 100,000 customers.
What you’ll do:
- Our HGV drivers are kept busy in this role to get our customers back on the road quickly.
- You will work within a team of other drivers reporting to your Transport Controller.
- You will collect and deliver vehicles before and after repair, working to deadlines to meet our customer’s needs.
- You will have responsibility for collecting and delivering cars within the agreed timescales, ensuring that the customer receives the very best possible service on collection and delivery of their car.
- You will ensure all cash and credit card transactions are accounted for and that all transactions are processed following company procedures.
- You will complete forms to indicate any damage on the car and specify accident-related damage and highlight any old damage, take digital photographs, and gain a signature from the customer.
- You will highlight any defects identified during loading/unloading of vehicles or as identified at the handover of the vehicle to the customer and bring to the attention of the Production Manager.
- You will also ensure all jobs are referenced and filed on completion of the job.
What you’ll need:
- This is a permanent role of 40 hours a week.
- You will have experience driving HGV class 2 vehicles and within recovery.
- You will be very customer-focused and have great customer handling skills.
- You will have knowledge of the area local to our repair centre.
- You will hold a current valid driving license, which meets the fleet insurance criteria and hold a Class 'C' LGV Licence.
- You will require a Driver 'Certificate of Professional Competence' (CPC).
