We have an exciting opportunity in our Whey Process department at Arla Foods. This is a grade 2 level position, ideal for candidates eager to learn new skills in a processing environment. Experience with process control systems, mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills are advantageous.
Reporting to the Cheese and Whey Process Team Leader, the role includes:
- Operating processes and understanding control measures such as Membrane Filtration, Pasteurisation, Separation, and tanker loading
- Gathering and checking daily data and conducting sample tests
- Completing production plans on time and implementing corrective actions when necessary
- Maintaining high standards of Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety, including compliance with "MO" standards
- Supporting the Team Leader and specialists as needed
- Identifying issues affecting daily plans, collaborating with maintenance to resolve obstacles, and executing recovery plans
- Working independently under pressure with minimal supervision
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, demonstrating Lean principles such as problem solving, DRMs, and 5S
- Having a flexible attitude towards working hours, including weekends, shift work on a rota, and holiday cover
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and efficient working environment using 5S principles
- Building positive relationships with external customers
