First Call is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control, materials handling, and efficient warehouse operations. The Packer will work closely with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and uphold our high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pack products according to specifications and ensure they are ready for shipment.
- Conduct quality control checks to verify that all items meet company standards before packing.
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organisation of stock.
- Engage in picking and packing activities, ensuring timely fulfilment of orders.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in mechanical tasks as needed, demonstrating basic mechanical knowledge when required.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with physical stamina for standing long periods.
- A proactive approach to teamwork and communication within the workplace.
Shifts
- 5 on 3 off
- Hours Between 0700 - 1900 (3 different start times 0700/0800/0900)
- You will need to be flexible to cover all shift work mentioned above.
