The Role
- You will be delivering general haulage loads to various locations throughout the UK.
- Trunking, stores, depot to depot, shunts to various depots or overnights.
- Safely operating and transporting goods to designated locations.
- Plan delivery routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring the load is secured.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhere to all relevant driving laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance.
The Person
- You will hold a Class 1 licence, Digi card and valid CPC card & Maximum 6 points on licence, no DR, DD, IN, CD endorsements.
- Have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Class 1 Driver.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to drive long distances while maintaining focus and alertness.
- You will be able to start immediately.
- You will have the experience to work with various companies and learn new skills within the haulage industry.
