Base pay range Head of Programmes – Property Investment Salary: £66,458 per annum Location: Flexible – able to travel within our operating region Hours: 37 hours per week The Vacancy Aster Group are recruiting a new position for a new Head of Programmes. This is a role is essential for the delivery of Asters ambitions in the 30 year business plan and investment in our homes. As Aster’s Head of Programmes you’ll be providing the strategic leadership and operational oversight for the planning, development and delivery of our 30-year business plan in respect of property investment. The role will see you take the lead on the design and execution of the long-term capital investment programme, ensuring sustainability, quality and value are at the forefront of all thinking. You’ll find yourself working collaboratively with colleagues to drive innovation, efficiency and compliance. Responsibility in the role will include – Taking the lead on balancing finance, treasury and property investment, to ensure sound investment in the portfolio. Overseeing the accuracy of recorded data in respect of the stock condition and asset management Ensuring the investments in homes, blocks and estates take place in a coordinated way whilst being built into the 30-year plan. Overseeing and commissioning client-side responsibilities for future planned and cyclical maintenance programmes Providing strategic insight into asset performance, supporting evidence based decision making, regarding refurbishment and redevelopment About you You’ll come to the role with property asset management experience at a senior level. The foundation of your career being supported by a degree in a building related discipline or a HBD in Building. You will be a member (of working towards) RICS, CIH, CIOB or other relevant recognised professional bodies. You’ll have substantial experience in leading large-scale capital investment programmes within housing, property or public sector environments. You will have demonstrable experience in strategic planning and programme management, with a deep understanding of long-term asset planning, which will include excellent financial insight and business acumen, with experience of managing multi million-pound budgets. You’ll consider yourself to be a natural communicator and influencer with a background in problem-solving. You will also be very aware of relevant legislation and best practice, keeping up too date with change to ensure this can be embedded into our practices. This is a hybrid role and you can choose to base yourself from home. You will be required to attend meetings in our operating region, so being happy to travel is a must. Our operating region covers Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London.
