BAYADA Home Health Care is currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who is fluent in American Sign Language to join the team in Malvern, PA. BAYADA’s special needs caregivers – Direct Support Professionals DSPs – work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential. Qualifications for this position as a DSP:
- HS diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Ability to transport client to community activities such as church
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- 1+ year of professional or personal experience with those with intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD)
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
Compensation & Schedule:
- $18 – 20 / hour and weekly pay
- Part-time scheduling – Sundays in Malvern
- Short commute times (we try to match opportunities within 30 minutes near your home)
- Options for mileage reimbursement
