Our customer is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Leader to join their Brighton IT branch. This role is pivotal in driving business growth with aspirations to double turnover by 2030, managing and mentoring the existing technical account management team and being the sales leader for the Brighton branch. The role's primary purpose is to lead customer account management, cross sales for the wider group products (IT, Connectivity, Cyber and AI), leading bids for new business and overall responsibility for low churn and high upsell in the existing customer base.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, strong leadership skills and a technical background to effectively liaise with the technical services team. Additionally, they will have 10 years' experience in IT, a deep understanding of sales and IT professional services, and the ability to lead and coordinate complex IT managed service sales.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Lead and manage the technical account management team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships with clients and drive sales growth.
- Technical Liaison: Work closely with the technical services team to understand and address client needs, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their requirements, provide tailored solutions and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
- Market Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategic sales plans for your branch in alignment with group AGP (Annual gross profit) sales targets.
- MSP Sales Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) in Managed IT, providing guidance on IT MSP best sales practices.
- Sales and Commercial Acumen: Work with the group commercial director to deliver the ability to sell the group Service Catalogue, services and solutions to the Camberley/Cheltenham Branch.
- Professional Services Utilisation: Review utilisation of professional services, devising upsell campaigns into the customer base to ensure a high level of utilisation is maintained through project.
- Strong understanding of IT sales to business clients of 11-200 seats, professional services, and service desk operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and win new managed services business.
- Technical background with the ability to liaise effectively with technical teams.
- Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience using Salesforce for business development and lead management is preferable.
