Application Engineer – Life Sciences

Remote, UK-wide

We\’re supporting a global leader in industrial automation as they look to hire an experienced Application Engineer to support their growing customer base across the UK. This is a national, remote-based role with a focus on the life sciences sector—so we\’re looking for someone who really knows their way around automation in that world.

You’ll be the UK go-to expert for technical support, working closely with the sales team and customers to design, adapt, and implement automation solutions across a wide range of technologies: robotics, drives, motion control, sensors, and software. If you’re someone who loves solving problems and enjoys getting stuck into real-world applications, this could be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partnering with the sales team to support customers and shape automation solutions
• Running demos, supporting feasibility studies, and advising on best-fit technologies
• Designing and developing automation systems tailored to customer needs
• Providing on-site support, training, and troubleshooting when required
• Acting as the main technical point of contact for UK life sciences clients
• Staying up to date on the latest industry tech and developments

What we’re looking for:

• Solid automation engineering experience—ideally 3+ years
• Strong background in the life sciences or pharma sectors
• Confident with PLC programming and automation systems
• Great communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
• Based in the UK with the right to work—unfortunately, we can’t sponsor
• Happy to travel nationally as needed
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
