Balfour Recruitment is working with a forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic Science Teacher for a full-time, permanent position starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-resourced science department that promotes hands-on learning, curiosity, and academic success across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

About the Role:

• Teaching Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (any specialism welcome)

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that combine theory and practical elements

• Supporting student progress through clear feedback and assessment

• Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

• Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities

We’re Looking For:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school

• Subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, Physics—or a general Science teaching background

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• A commitment to high-quality teaching and safeguarding
