You will find the Head Teachers report template attached to this advert, this MUST be completed by your Head Teacher and attached to your application form before the closing date. Please upload your Head Teacher Report in the 'COVER LETTER' section of the application, you are not required to write a cover letter.

  • Evidence of Catholic Church Approval - Applicants must seek Catholic Church Approval when submitting their application for the post and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel prior to the interview. Pending approval, confirmation from our Church Representative will be sought.
  • Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants for permanent posts in a denominational primary school must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate.
  • Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants for denominational secondary schools need RC Approval for the school applied to.
Responsibilities

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, and membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Preferred applicants will be required to join or update their PVG scheme membership before a formal offer is made.

The employment is excepted from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
