Investment Banking M&A VP – FIG Sector
The Firm

The Opportunity
They are currently looking to hire a VP into their FIG M&A Team ideally someone who has a strong focus on Banks, Asset Management and Wealth Management due to increase in deal flow, and are ideally looking for an autonomous and entrepreneurial individual, with the following skills and experience
Key responsibilities:
Support the execution of M&A sell side mandates and the origination of new business development leads. Other responsibilities in supporting the execution of active investment banking engagements will include:
- Preparing, analysing and explaining companies historical and projected financial information and business plans.
- Coordinating and performing business due diligence
- Preparing marketing materials e.g. management presentations, marketing pitches, and other presentations
- Valuing companies and businesses
- Assisting in the marketing and planning of M&A engagements
- Coordinating and conducting business due diligence
- Supervising and coaching junior staff members in the completion of presentations, research and financial analyses, ensuring their development according to team and firm standards
Qualifications:
- Must have at least a minimum of 6 years of proven M&A deal execution experience from an advisory boutique or Bank or Big 4 Corporate Finance Team covering Banks, Asset Management & Wealth Management.
- Demonstrable knowledge of M&A processes
- Aptitude for financial analysis, interpretation and presentation in marketing materials
- Able to work in complex situations and deliver results.
- Problem solving aptitude
- Able to manage multiple engagements and shifting priorities
- Creativity and ability to innovate / think out of the box
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. Can build rapport with clients
- Proactivity, energy and enthusiasm. Able to make things happen, both internally and in transaction executions
