We are seeking skilled Cable Assemblers to join our team on a 2 - 3 month contract in Berkshire. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the assembly of heavy-duty cables and will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to cable assembly and wiring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble heavy-duty cables and racks to specifications.
  • Perform cable crimping, looming, and terminating work with precision.
  • Conduct point-to-point wiring in accordance with provided diagrams and instructions.
  • Soldering on various types of connectors, including large and small connectors, plugs and sockets.
  • Assemble harnesses as per design requirements.
  • Execute single and 3-phase wiring tasks effectively.
  • Read and interpret wiring drawings and instructions accurately.
  • Utilise heavy-duty crimping tools to ensure high-quality connections.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Electrical qualifications, ideally to 18th Edition Level.
  • Proven experience in cable assembly, particularly heavy-duty and rack assembly.
  • Familiarity with cable crimping, looming, and terminating techniques.
  • Experience in point-to-point wiring and working with a range of connectors.
  • Ability to read and understand wiring drawings and instructions.
  • Proficient in using heavy-duty crimping tools.
  • Previous experience with outside broadcast wiring is advantageous.
