Major Recruitment is excited to partner with a prominent international automotive business with a large Factory in Baildon/Shipley. This industry leader specializes in manufacturing Engine Cooling Systems for Off-Highway Vehicles. Due to an increase in workload, the business is looking for Welders to join the factory team on a long-term ongoing basis. Commutable from Bradford and West Leeds.
As a Welder, your responsibilities will be:
- Work in a dynamic factory environment.
- Operate advanced machinery and heavy-duty industrial equipment.
- Showcase your exceptional skills in TIG or CMT Welding.
- Demonstrate your expertise in manual handling.
- Prioritize safety and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Follow plans & manufacturing processes.
- Handle potentially heavy items and a variety of tools.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience of TIG or CMT Welding.
- Proficiency in manual handling, with the ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Strong work ethic, ensuring punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Effective timekeeping.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working hours:
- Weekly alternating:
- Week 1: Monday-Thursday: 6am-2pm, Friday: 6am-11:00am
- Week 2: Monday-Thursday: 2pm-10pm, Friday: 11:00am-4:00pm
Pay: Starting pay is GBP14.26 per hour during probation period, raising to GBP15.12 after 12 weeks.
