This post is to work as a Junior Public Health Nurse within the 0-19 Service working predominately with Children age 5-19 with additional needs . We are the largest provider of children’s public health nursing services in the North East of England providing services that stretch from North Yorkshire up to Gateshead and Sunderland. We are dedicated to working towards improved public health outcomes for children and families in the footprint, delivering high quality universal and targeted health visiting and school health services to meet the key improvement priorities for the population. Main duties of the job The post holder will work as part of children’s community health commissioned services supporting the SCPHN (Health Visitor/School Nurse), and contributing to the delivery of high quality services for children young people, parents, carers and families working within the framework of the Healthy Child Programme and Best Start In Life priorities. The post holder will be pro-active in delivering the national and Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social need, working in partnership with other agencies and meet agreed standards, objectives and statutory requirements.
