We specialise in full turnkey solutions up to and including 275KV in the Renewables sector and other Mission Critical Facilities.
About the Role: The EHS Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing the company's environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a safe and healthy work environment. The role involves collaboration with various departments to identify and mitigate risks, conduct training and promote a culture of proactive management of EHS issues.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with relevant regulation.
- Manage EHS documentation in line with ISO14001 and ISO45001, including training records, incident reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Carry out Company inductions with all new personnel.
- Take responsibility for the calibration and tracking of all test equipment, slings and harnesses ensuring compliance.
- Carry out regular site audits to ensure compliance with the Companies ISO and Achilles standards.
- Take responsibility for all preparation of documentation prior to ISO and Achilles audits.
- Accompany ISO and Achilles auditors during audit periods and manage any non-conformances.
- Coordinate and conduct EHS training sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
- Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
- Document findings and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Stay updated on EHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports and documentation in line with ISO and Achilles standards.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives and programs.
- Maintain EHS databases and generate reports on key metrics and performance indicators.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on EHS performance and initiatives.
- Manage and ensure PPE compliance is adhered to, including monitoring of stock.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ experience within a Senior EHS role.
- Hold a qualification with NEBOSH or IOSH.
- Proficient with all MS Office programs.
- Confidentiality is a vital element within H&S.
- Multitasking and time-management skills.
- Good judgement and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrates a desire to continuously develop.
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willing to occasionally travel to site including Mainland Europe.
- Experience within the Hyperscale and/or Renewables industry.
- Experience in monitoring DINβs and NEDeRS within the High Voltage power industry and implementing Operational Restrictions where relevant.
- Behavioural safety coaching training/experience.
