Randstad Education is seeking a committed and adaptable Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis within our partnership schools in Stamford and the surrounding villages. This position involves supporting various schools on a day to day basis. You will play a key role in assisting teachers in the classroom, working with small groups, and providing 1:1 support to pupils as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Work with small groups of students to enhance their learning and understanding.
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs, including SEN.
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Help prepare and organise learning materials and classroom resources.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support student progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classroom environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one).
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
  • A patient, caring, and supportive attitude towards working with children.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are advantageous but not essential.
