Opportunity for a project manager or engineer to co-ordinate multiple metal fabrication/construction metal work projects in this respected, successful and expanding engineering company. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of various projects, from concept to completion. You will structure and establish organised work control and organisation systems and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation through coordination with internal staff.
  • Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure smooth execution of fabrication projects.
  • Monitor project progress, identify any potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to clients and senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience coordinating metal fabrication-based projects.
  • Knowledge and expertise in welding techniques, processes, and equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines.

This is a permanent job with a starting salary dependent on experience. You must have current UK right to work to be considered.
