art-K, a leading private art education service, is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as Self-Employed Party Assistants for its arty birthday parties during weekends. With a vibrant network of 7,000 weekly students, art-K is expanding its offerings to provide unique and creative birthday experiences. In the last few months, art-K has delivered over 100 parties and expects this to continue growing in 2025.
As a Self-Employed Party Assistant, you play a crucial role in ensuring the success of each 2-hour birthday party session as well as the pre-party set up & tidy up. Your responsibilities include:
- Studio Setup and Ambience: Assisting the Party leader in creating an ambient studio environment for the party, setting the music up & preparing the projects in alignment with the birthday person’s requests.
- Art Workshop: Assist the Party leader with the art workshops for party-goers. Foster a positive and encouraging environment, sparking creativity and experimentation among attendees.
- Clean-up: Maintain high cleanliness standards by tidying up the studio after each class, leaving a welcoming space for the next session.
- Teaching and Encouragement: Support children to complete their art projects, offering guidance, and encouraging them to explore their creativity whilst having fun. Support the Party leader with a shake break or mini dance party midway through the workshop.
Requirements:
- Working towards art A level, Foundation or Art degree.
- Sufficient knowledge in various art mediums, including watercolour, acrylics, and air-dried clay.
- Experience working with children from Year 1 (aged 5-6) and upwards (desired).
- Positive, proactive, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
Qualifications:
- Art A level and Foundation (desired).
- DBS check (cost covered by the self-employed person, facilitated by art-K).
