Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Billing Specialist with expertise in financial analysis, customer service, and dispute resolution to join our dynamic team. As a Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and analyzing invoices, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner via phone and e-mail.
• Address customer complaints, providing appropriate solutions and alternatives within specified time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
• Initiate disputes with carriers on behalf of customers.
• Review and analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of information entered.
• Educate customers on best practices to avoid additional charges.
• Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must Have:

• Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data.
• Comfort with handling numbers and processing financial information.
• High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ER software (JDE or other).

Prefer to Have:

• 1 year of experience as a Billing Specialist.
• Experience in the Freight/Logistics Industry, particularly in LTL or Courier services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
