YOUR ROLE
- Working with the Civil & Structural Group Lead to develop cost-effective, efficient and innovative Civil & Structural solutions to complex problems.
- Using engineering tools such as Revit, Tekla, Robot, AutoCAD and Civil 3D to create practical designs based on these solutions.
- Working on projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering, Detailed Design.
- Preparation of deliverables such as structural 3D models, structure design reports, general arrangement drawings, pipe support design and drawings, foundation envelops and RC detailing.
- Supporting development of plant layouts and plant 3D models.
- Working with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs.
- Developing proposals and bids for Civil & Structural projects and contributing to multi-disciplinary proposals.
YOUR TEAM
The UK Energy Transition team provides services to Clients from inception through development, construction, operation, and decommissioning. Our team’s expertise covers all Energy Transition generation and conversion technologies and includes novel, first of a kind concepts and other low or zero carbon technology. Working together with private developers, power utilities, government bodies, banks, lending agencies, contractors and OEM’s we safely deliver projects whilst meeting and exceeding client expectations.
WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- Degree in relevant Engineering subject.
- Working towards chartered status of relevant Engineering Institute.
- Solid experience in Civil & Structural detailed design.
- Detailed working knowledge of national and international codes and standards used within the Power sector.
- Proven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as experienced in producing calculations.
- Experience of working with structural design software packages such as Robot Professional and STAAD Pro in addition to CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience of working with clients and contractors with a diverse range of objectives in achieving a technical solution.
