We are seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional to join us as a Claims Processing Assistant. This role will focus on assisting members of Britannia P&I, The Wren Insurance Association, and The Griffin Insurance Association with the payment and processing of claims. The Claims Processing team consists of 6 friendly members based in London, all reporting to the Head of Claims Processing. The team handles a variety of claims across international offices and works closely with departments such as Underwriting, Claims, Finance, and 3rd parties. This role reports directly to the Head of Claims Processing and is well-suited to a numerate individual with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of business systems and processes within a regulated environment. While we operate a hybrid working policy, the successful candidate may be required to work full-time in the office during the first 4 weeks of the induction period.
Responsibilities:
- Process third-party invoices and recoveries
- Raise debit notes to Members
- Review Member claims and raise corresponding credit notes
- Maintain supplier contact details/add new contact details onto the relevant system
- Respond to Members and Correspondents queries by telephone and email
- Develop a good understanding of processes and procedures, ensuring that we are adhering to our policies and SLAs
- Conduct sanction checks and call-back procedures for new bank accounts
- Assist with ad-hoc and quarterly reports
- Ad hoc duties as required
