Overview of the role
An Accuracy Checking Technicians role with a difference! Working in a warehouse environment our Prison Dispensary team are based within our state of the art distribution Healthcare Services Centre in Stoke. Our ACT roles are non-customer facing roles within the pharmacy and perfect for candidates who prefer to work behind the scenes and focus on specialised tasks that support our patients and customers.
Did you know.... Our digital pharmacy is a distant selling pharmacy which means the patients don’t enter the premises but interact via our customer service team and the technology that supports the services. Our digital pharmacy has the second largest number of patients in the UK nominated to a single pharmacy, distributing circa 130,000 items every month currently and this is growing!
Main Responsibility
What you’ll do:
- Processing online orders accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborating with pharmacists to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Managing inventory and ensuring accurate stock levels.
- Assisting in the packaging and shipping of orders.
- Maintaining confidentiality and security of customer information.
The Ideal Candidate
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Great team working skills as you’ll be working in a warehouse/non-customer facing environment.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Attention to detail is essential and accuracy in order processing.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and online platforms is an advantage but we can train you.
