POSITION
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team on a full-time basis in the role of Divisional Finance Manager (UK). The successful candidate will be an integral part of the finance team in a high growth organisation and will be responsible for leading the personnel and processes across the finance function within the Vesta portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Finance (UK), primary responsibility will be ownership (including people management) of the Management Accounting, Financial Reporting and controls of a selection of Vesta Software Group companies within a high-performance culture. Vesta operates in a casual working environment and promotes both team and individual growth. This position will be based in our Wallingford (Oxfordshire) office. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Line manage members of the Management Accountant team, guiding, leading and developing direct reports with an emphasis on mentoring and strengthening the team.
- Produce timely and reliable monthly management accounts to tight deadlines for a selection of Vesta companies.
- Identify and investigate variances against benchmarks, provide analysis of differences, and explore potential problems with non-financial department heads.
- Take the lead on various projects, including process and system improvements.
- Update Excel-based reconciliation/support packs for all Balance Sheet accounts.
- Support and challenge the business heads with the Groupβs Quarterly Strategic Review process (forecasting).
- Prepare periodic financial statements and supporting schedules, tax computations and cash flow forecasts.
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers, advise on the business impact and make appropriate recommendations.
- Involvement in ongoing process development and transformation projects to improve business efficiency and profitability.
- Developing a continuous improvement framework to ensure efficiencies are rolled out and adopted by all team members and the wider organization where appropriate.
- Act as a Business Partner within all aspects of the role.
- Capture data and analysis to provide support to business decision making.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and Corporation tax packs.
- Contribute to the success of the overall corporate strategy.
- Support/assist with acquisition related activity including integration of people, systems and processes and acquisition accounting entries.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.
- People Management Experience is a must.
- Proven experience in building effective teams and culture is a must.
- Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong excel skills are necessary as well as experience of Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience of working in a fast paced, change culture.
- Experience of working in a multi-national is advantageous.
- Knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) are preferable.
- Project management skills are preferable.
- Innovation and ability to consistently improve process and systems.
- Experience in software or high-tech industry would be preferable.
