Tasks
- Record yourself explaining aviation topics, delivering engaging, enthusiastic, and easy-to-understand content to a mature audience.
- Work closely with our current host and production team to brainstorm ideas, refine scripts, and ensure a seamless on-screen dynamic.
- Use or learn to operate basic filming equipment and ensure recordings are high quality, including setting up appropriate lighting, sound, and camera angles.
Requirements
- Has an aviation background (pilot, flight instructor, air traffic controller, flight engineer). Educators in aerospace are welcome, provided they have a strong understanding of piloting/operations.
- Has a passion for aviation and a desire to share their knowledge with others.
- Is eager to explain aviation topics in an engaging, enthusiastic, and easy-to-understand way (no lecturing!).
- Can connect with a mature audience while keeping discussions informative and lively.
- Can build a great rapport with our current host and team.
- On screen appearance of being in their late 20s to mid 30s.
- Doesn’t need previous on-screen experience but should feel comfortable and confident being in front of a camera.
- May already have a social media presence, though this is not essential.
- Can commit to working on a freelance basis for 2-3 days a week.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity or interest in the video production process.
- Keen to be, or already confident working on camera and operating basic filming equipment.
- Access to a suitable space for filming (ie, a spare room/office).
- Willingness to learn and grow with our team. We’ll provide training to help you get up to speed!
