35 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Your duties will include providing excellent customer service and ensuring the students have a great experience by planning student events and parties. The role of Assistant Accommodation Manager will include:
- Ensuring that a high-quality service is delivered and meets customer expectations
- Reporting maintenance issues and liaising with relevant individuals to ensure repairs are completed and customers informed
- Ensuring property inspections, health and safety and compliance checks are completed in line with legislation and policy
- Supervising a General Assistant and Caretaker, providing guidance, support and promoting the development of staff
- Assisting the Accommodation Manager with the debt recovery process
- Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external customers
- Working with the wider team on monthly checks of buildings, raising repairs ensuring these are completed, completing inspections on void rooms, and carrying out health and safety checks
- Complaints management and raising purchase orders
Skills and experiences:
- Experience in a similar role supporting the delivery of high-quality accommodation or customer service is essential
- NVQ3 in relevant area (e.g., business administration, customer service) is desirable
- Some experience of providing administrative support services and using a residential booking system
- Experience of managing staff within a customer facing environment
- Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
