Our Client are currently looking for In-Situ Machinists to join their very busy site team who are working on contracts across the world. You will have the best of both worlds, working 50% of your time abroad and 50% back in the workshop in Pembrokeshire.
We are looking for skilled machinists that have been apprentice trained in an engineering environment and trained in the competent operation of medium to large workshop lathes, milling machines, vertical borers and particularly large horizontal boring machines. Previous experience of In-Place Machining work would be of great advantage in this application but not essential.
Candidates must be resourceful, confident, physically fit and have a current passport. You must be willing to travel worldwide at very short notice and in some cases be prepared to stay up to 4-5 weeks on site before repatriation to the UK. This is a very exciting, challenging and demanding role with excellent earning potential for the right candidate.
The company also offers a competitive company pension scheme and 35 days paid holiday each year. We operate large portable milling, boring, and facing machines, taking the machine shop to the work site. We travel all over the world in support of all types of global industry.
Your engineering knowledge will be tested and expanded in all situations. You must have a thinking outside the box mentality and a can-do attitude.
