Dentist - Per Diem

Harbor Health Services is seeking Dentists to join our Per Diem pool (on-call as needed) at various Dental Center locations including Dorchester, Plymouth, Hyannis, and Dennis, MA . Shifts are available during the day, evening, and some Saturdays at most centers.

Our Dental Center locations include:

• Geiger Gibson Community Health Center, Dorchester, MA
• Harbor Community Health Center-Plymouth
• Harbor Community Health Center-Hyannis
• Ellen Jones Community Dental Center, Dennis, MA

Role:

The Dentist provides outpatient dental care, focusing on preventive care, oral health, and overall health. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating dental diseases, injuries, and malformations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement treatment plans, including procedures like denture impressions, extractions, cavity repairs, and root canals.
• Educate patients on dental health practices.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Accurately document all patient interactions and treatments.
• Respond to emergency situations as required.
• Maintain punctual attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from an accredited dental school or eligibility for limited licensure.
• Preferably 3 years of experience as a Dentist.
• Current Massachusetts License or eligibility for limited license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current MCSR and DEA registration.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise dental assistants, hygienists, students, externs, and residents as assigned or in the absence of the Lead Dentist.
