Our client was established in 1996 to provide flexible and accessible finance to SMEs across the country. Now, more than 20 years on, they have grown to become one of the UK’s largest, independent finance houses. They have continued to deliver leading-edge finance solutions through a unique combination of teamwork and technology.

From this continued success they are now looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist on a 4-month Fixed Term Contract to allow them to continue their exciting growth plans and lead the selection and implementation of a new core business system. This is a critical project aimed at streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and supporting the company's ambitious growth strategy.

The successful candidate will operate in a consultancy capacity, providing expert guidance and support to the programme, and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring compliance, minimising risk, and securing the best possible value.

Role responsibilities:
  • Procurement strategy & planning for system selection
  • Leading RFI/RFP development and vendor evaluation
  • Contract negotiation and compliance with FCA standards
  • Acting as procurement lead and key point of contact for internal stakeholders
  • Risk management and due diligence
  • Supporting project delivery alongside the Programme Manager
Key skills required:
  • 7–10+ years in strategic procurement, especially around enterprise software selection
  • Deep understanding of contract law, procurement best practices, and vendor negotiation
  • Experience in financial services (asset finance a strong plus)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and project delivery skills
  • Ideally MCIPS-qualified
