As part of our ongoing growth plans, weβre looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our Digital Marketing Team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimising B2B websites that support our Group growth targets and deliver an exceptional user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong focus on UX, and SEO best practices
- Customise themes and plugins to meet design and functionality requirements
- Collaborate with designers and with the wider marketing team to implement new landing pages and enhance user journeys
- Ensure websites are optimised for mobile and meet technical SEO standards
- Implement performance enhancements, troubleshoot technical issues and deploy changes to live environments
- Monitor site analytics and performance metrics, and recommend improvements
- Stay current with WordPress updates, web development trends, and security protocols
Knowledge and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in web development with a primary focus on WordPress
- Block Editor experience
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment across multiple websites
- Experience with custom WordPress theme and plugin development
- Experience of technical SEO, website performance, and responsive design
- Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail with excellent communication and an ability to collaborate across direct marketing and digital teams
We are looking for someone living locally to either Bolton or Manchester and you will be required to come into one of these offices at least once per week. Additional travel to other UK locations may be required from time to time.
