X 2 Data Analysts – Commercial and Ops – 6 month FTC RA Location: Ripponden Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 (Depending on experience) Vacancy Type: Permanent/Full Time Job Description About the Role We are seeking results-driven Commercial Data Analysts to join our team. In this role, you will translate complex data into actionable business insights that drive revenue growth and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities. Key Responsibilities Analyse sales, market, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for revenue growth. Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key business metrics and KPIs. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to deliver data-driven insights that inform commercial strategy. Develop forecasting models to predict future business performance and market trends. Evaluate the effectiveness of commercial initiatives and recommend improvements. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels. Requirements Bachelor\’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in a data analysis role with a commercial/business focus. Proficiency with data analysis tools, especially Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and Azure data platform. Experience working with large datasets and deriving meaningful insights. Ability to translate business and operational requests into actionable analysis, including for non-experts. Strong communication skills to present complex data clearly and compellingly. Excellent problem-solving skills and commercial awareness. Experience with data governance and compliance practices. Ability to collaborate across teams and influence business decisions. Preferred Experience Experience in B2B retail, subscription, or service businesses, especially those with large field-force operations. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis. Understanding of emerging technologies like automation, ML, and AI in data analytics. Experience with advanced analytics techniques, including predictive modeling and segmentation.
