We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly, proactive, and organised individual to join this creative and successful brand as a Production Coordinator and become part of their Product team! This creative company designs and develops all its products from scratch, supplying fun, trend-driven items to leading retailers worldwide.
As a Production Coordinator, you will ensure products are manufactured by the most suitable factories, using the best possible materials, and meeting all agreed timelines and specifications. This is a really exciting opportunity for someone with a love of product who is looking to work with a great team and a successful global business.
Duties for this Production Coordinator position include:
- Create and maintain critical paths tailored to customer requirements.
- Liaise with factories and internal teams to ensure all critical path dates are met.
- Raise purchase orders with factories and suppliers, ensuring all relevant product information and specifications are included.
- Approve artwork before submission to factories.
- Review and approve white box samples and components for suitability and quality.
- Organise and lead pre-production sample review meetings, managing feedback internally and with suppliers, ensuring samples are compliant and improvements are noted for current and future orders.
- Ensure the technical and sourcing teams are aware of all orders and factory allocations.
- Work closely with account managers, product developers, and logistics teams to resolve any production issues.
- Ensure inspections are completed in line with the critical path and any outstanding issues are resolved before shipment.
- Lead discussions with factories on resolving any issues.
- Work with the sourcing team and suppliers to find sustainable solutions that meet customer requirements, initiating and driving process improvements to enhance sustainability within the company.
- Attend trade fairs as necessary.
Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a product development, production, buying, supply chain, or operations role.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of production critical paths, including creation and project management.
- Experience managing critical paths for 50+ SKUs in one season.
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Teams, Monday.com, or a Salesforce platform is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills at all levels, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Fantastic organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Positive, proactive approach with the ability to build successful relationships across departments.
- A love of product and a commitment to working with a great team and business.
