Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer required to join a manufacturer working in the food processing industry based in Roscoe, IL. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience working in a similar position and experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.
Package: $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience, 15% bonus, other benefits to be discussed.
Role:
- Develop robust PLC and HMI programming in accordance with project requirements.
- Update, support, and integrate existing PLC and HMI programs.
- Create and maintain I/O lists to align electrical design with program specifications.
- Test, debug, modify, and validate all system functions prior to shipment.
- Conduct system start-up and commissioning at customer sites for final approval.
- Train customer employees on the operation and maintenance of delivered systems.
- Update and maintain electrical schematics after system assembly completion.
- Provide ongoing technical and troubleshooting support to clients post-startup.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working as a Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer / Electrical Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLC/PAC programming.
- Expertise in HMI programming software.
- Capable of electrical troubleshooting, including 480-volt, 110-volt, and low voltage control systems.
- Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products industries is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD P&ID drawings.
- Basic understanding of hydraulics, fluid flow, pneumatics, and electric circuits.
- Familiarity with turnkey plant systems with an emphasis on process piping is a significant plus.
- Commuteable to Roscoe, IL.
