Join to apply for the IFRS16 and Intercompany Assistant Accountant role at Tesco. At Booker, we are seeking an IFRS16 and Intercompany Assistant Accountant. This role is within the Booker Finance team and supports key financial processes, including IFRS16 lease accounting, intercompany transactions, and period-end close activities.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining accurate lease data.
- Managing intercompany journals and reconciliations in SAP.
- Producing financial statements.
- Preparing and performing periodic checks comparing the Inner Vision system to the Fleet List, and updating accordingly.
- Preparing, issuing for approval, and recording intercompany Purchase Orders and Invoices for routine and ad hoc transactions.
- Producing weekly intercompany statements to facilitate monthly reconciliation with counterparties, using SAP and Hyperion systems.
- Preparing and posting SAP Promenta journals related to IFRS16 and intercompany transactions.
- Performing intercompany Balance Sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborating with the non-property team to review lease documents for IFRS16 compliance and with the intercompany finance team to ensure matching, reconciliation, and elimination of intercompany transactions.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills: Basic accountancy knowledge, Intermediate Excel skills, Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
- Qualifications and Experience: AAT qualified or equivalent, Studying at a higher level is a plus but not essential, Strong attention to detail, Effective communication skills, adaptable to different audiences, Action-oriented with the ability to respond to feedback and follow up for positive outcomes.
