Role - Commercial Manager/ Contract Manager - Fire Safety, M&E or similar Subcontractor experience

Based in North Kent, can work from office or Hybrid 2 days if commutable to office 3 days. Visits as needed with clients will be London or South East.

You will be primarily responsible for the review, negotiation, and agreement of all project-related contractual documentation, from main contracts and sub-contracts to scope of works and final accounts. These will include letters of Intent, Warranties and appointments.

The role requires strong contractual acumen and negotiation skills to protect the subcontractor from onerous obligations and ensure favourable commercial outcomes with Main Contractors, and ensure payments and/or resolve disputes.

You can support the procurement and design process, by reviewing terms, and flow of work from main contractor.

Requirements - for Contracts Manager/ Commercial Manager - Construction, M&E or Fire Subcontractor:

  • Strong experience of construction law and experience with contract reviewing construction contracts - JCT & NEC.
  • Experience dealing with Tier 1 & 2 contractors, Completing Final account negotiations and risk management.
  • Degree or Equivalent Experience in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related (as Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager or Quantity Surveyor) would be great.
  • Knowledge of Building Safety Act and how it impacts contract delivery.
  • Gateway 2 Submissions or similar.
