Experience: 6 - 8 years of relevant experience in OpenVMS system administration.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • User Management
  • Day to day problem/systems management
  • Taking care of the Sysman and Sysgen Utilities
  • Monitor and maintain backups, batch jobs, and reporting
  • Manage & control job scheduling using schedulers
  • Troubleshooting & managing printer queues
  • Ensure systems are configured and maintained to achieve maximum uptime with system performance level meeting customer expectations
  • Support, develop and implement Change / Problem / Incident Management Process
  • Provide team technical assistance for complex and critical issues
  • System Management
  • Installing and configuring disk drives presented from controllers and SAN
  • File systems regularly reviewed and maintained
  • Network access regularly reviewed and maintained
  • Proxy maintenance
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the DBA and Development/Support teams
  • Perform periodic system maintenance and tuning
  • Respond to audit and compliance requests to meet project success factors
