We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Member within the Structural Department based at our Stocksbridge site. The Team Member will be part of a team carrying out planned & reactive maintenance duties, focusing on pipefitting across all departments of the Stocksbridge Works.

The Role of the Structural Team Member:

  • Ensure maximum productivity & adhere to relevant Health & Safety procedures.
  • Perform planned & routine maintenance on assets.
  • Carry out pipework fabrication, installation & replacement across the site according to plans.
  • Fabricate structural steel items of varying grades & thicknesses, working from engineering drawings.
  • Manage own workload and ensure tasks are completed within deadlines.
  • Utilise CMMS to maintain services by completing and providing feedback on planned and reactive work.
  • Demonstrate a methodical approach, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, and effective verbal communication.
  • A current driving license is essential.

Requirements for the Structural Team Member:

  • Trained to a recognized standard for welding & pipefitting activities.
  • Experience with various welding equipment and processes, including MMA/MIG/TIG/Oxy Fuel cutting.
  • Experience in heavy/light pipework, plating, and welding; ability to work to weld procedures.
  • Driven individual eager to develop and broaden skills for career progression within Liberty Speciality Steels.
  • Familiarity with Computerised Maintenance Management System (INFOR); training provided if needed.
  • Understanding of welding & pipework standards.
  • Experience in testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structures using techniques like MPI, Dye Penetrant (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings and work with technical data.
  • Multiskilled in a heavy industrial environment, with plating and welding experience in heavy and light fabrications.

The Working Pattern of the Structural Team Member:

The shift pattern is days working one in two weekends.
