The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.
The purpose of this role is to assist the Web Manager and Web Director in supporting our existing web team with all aspects of development. The WordPress Developer will report directly to the Web Manager. Your main responsibility will be to support clients' website development needs and build websites from provided design files.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience operating within a fast-paced, changeable digital marketing/media agency setting.
Main Roles and Responsibilities of the WordPress Developer:- Proactive in bringing forward innovative ideas and having a voice.
- Clear understanding of the entire server structure and basic knowledge of problem-solving.
- Coding designs into fully functioning websites.
- Liaising with the design team to ensure mock-ups are built to specification.
- Proactively maintaining awareness of emerging technologies, coding practices, and opportunities for own development.
- Supporting clients and the Technical SEO team with web development activity and troubleshooting.
- 2 years in a similar role within a Digital Agency.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress & WooCommerce.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP.
- Full understanding of HTML5 (including understanding of semantic layout principles).
- Full understanding of CSS (SASS).
- Full understanding of JS/GSAP.
- Experience of working with Adobe Suite.
- Keen interest and understanding of industry movements.
- Excellent all-round IT skills.
- NPM/Webpack.
- Experience with version control (GIT/SourceTree).
- Atomic Design principles.
- A working understanding of the current landscape of website coding, including optimising sites for mobile devices and modern SEO requirements.
- Hybrid Working (Wednesday and Thursdays in the office)
- Christmas closedown (not taken from holiday allowance)
- Quarterly nights out paid for by the company
- 3pm Friday finishes
- 4.30 finish on office days
