We are working with a local Multi Academy Trust who require a HR Manager for a maternity leave cover in a local school. This role is available to full time and part time candidates and is usually term time only plus 5-20 days during holidays although they will consider all year round. The role will begin in September 2025 to do a handover.
The role:
- Lead the provision of high quality and efficient HR services
- Work autonomously to deliver complete HR services, with access to support from the central team
- Build relationships within the school and senior leadership team
- You will be responsible for recruitment, selection and onboarding of new staff, employee records management, relations, learning and development and offboarding of leaving staff
- Provide advice and guidance to all stakeholders in line with policies and procedures such as absence, disciplinary, grievance etc
Responsibilities:
- Line management of team
- Oversee, manage and review workload of direct reports, distributing work fairly, meeting deadlines in line with expectations.
- Advise to staff and management
- Adhoc training
- Project assistance
- Maintain up to date knowledge
- Develop, maintain and review policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
- CIPD level 5
- Up to date working knowledge of employment law
- Management Experience
- Experience of analysing, interpreting and utilising data
- Knowledge of recruitment and selection; school experience preferred but not essential
- Experience of databases
- Good IT and communication skills
