Salt Pond Golf Club is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Spray Technician. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, is a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and appreciates the value of hard work.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Mixing, preparing, and applying chemical solutions (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides).
- Keeping up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory.
- Maintaining records of pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Special Requirements:
- Have no problems wearing spray applicator suits, full face respirators, or chemical resistant apparel.
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Perform simple calculations.
- Willing to learn.
- Detail-oriented.
- Keep area neat and organized.
- Have or be willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Apply fertilizer and chemical applications.
- Update spray records, inventory, and MSDS sheets.
- Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders.
- General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment.
- Over time, be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issues.
