Your Area of Responsibility as an AV Technician

Working in some of the best venues and hotels in the UK, you will play an integral role in planning and preparing events, responsible for delivery and setup from small meetings to large-scale productions.

Equipment Operation

  • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to events
  • Ensure flawless event execution through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of AV equipment
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly
  • Comply with all security and safety measures, including wearing PPE
  • Report health and safety issues to the onsite manager
  • Work as part of a team on larger projects when required

Customer Service

  • Strive to exceed customer expectations
  • Maintain positive relationships through effective communication
  • Meet with clients on-site to ensure needs are met and equipment functions properly
  • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day
  • Foster good relationships with clients and venues

Technical Ability

  • Understand technical aspects and demonstrate basic troubleshooting skills
  • Handle equipment issues professionally and promptly

Systems Knowledge

  • Follow company processes and accurately complete paperwork
  • Use equipment sheets for setup and strike
  • Utilize up-selling techniques to increase revenue
  • Assist with invoicing for clients

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in the Service and Hospitality industry preferred
  • Experience in AV or live events preferred
  • Experience with audio-visual equipment or in an educational setting beneficial
