Prep Technician Moving Lights and Tech

We are currently recruiting for the position of Prep Technician for our Moving Lights and Technology Department at our rural HQ in Goudhurst, Kent.

The type of work is manual and therefore you should be physically able to lift heavy items and load trucks with equipment as required.

Day to Day Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparing moving lights and all associated control systems for hire, including consoles, DMX buffers, nodes and networking systems.
2. Maintaining and servicing equipment to high standard, including PAT testing.
3. Assisting with fault finding and repair.
4. Ensuring all department equipment is maintained to a high standard ahead of emergency hires.
5. Helping to ensure the warehouse remains efficient and organised.

Experience

This position is open to applicants who have prior experience working as a prep technician in a lighting hire environment and demonstrate excellent knowledge of moving lights and controls by leading brands, including Martin Professional, Vari-Lite, Robe, Clay Paky, Chauvet, Showtec, MA, ETC, Avolites, Zero88 and Hog.

Please note, the salary will be reflective of the individual’s knowledge and experience of moving lights and all associated controls.
