In this training position , the Surgical Technologist Resident will be responsible for assisting in surgical procedures under supervision, handling instrumentation, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon while maintaining aseptic techniques to AORN standards. Responsibilities Maintain skills and competencies required of the Surgical Technologist Resident position. Demonstrate working knowledge of service lines, including the use of specialized equipment. Comply with customer service requirements. Actively participate in QI programs. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. Maintain and gather supplies to perform job duties. Job Qualifications and Specifications Enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technologist program. Expected to graduate within 8 months from the program. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience and basic computer skills required. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Knowledge and experience of normal and modified diets, carbohydrate counting, and protein exchange systems are preferred.
