We are actively recruiting for a talented lawyer to join our serious injury team in Manchester or Liverpool. We’re looking for an individual who can demonstrate prior experience and expertise working on claims of the utmost severity, such as brain and spinal injury and amputation cases with an emphasis on road traffic accidents.
We would like those who have experience with running their own caseload, ideally multi-track but we are happy to consider those who have worked fast-track claims. This role is ideal for someone who wishes to gain further exposure to working on high value complex cases with a team exclusively on behalf of claimants.
We’re looking for someone who can undertake substantive work on these cases with minimal assistance. You will be given the opportunity to be involved in the cases from the outset and will continue to be closely involved throughout their duration, giving you the opportunity to understand the issues involved to enable you to assist with tasks including instructing appropriate medical experts, dealing with disclosure, proofing witnesses and preparing well-structured witness statements.
What we offer in return:
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week working in the office (must live a reasonable distance to commute to the office)
- 35 hours per week – Monday to Friday
- 25 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays
- Buy and sell annual leave up to 5 days
- Employee Referral scheme with payments up to £2000 per referral
- Group Incentive Plan (Annual Bonus Scheme)
- Aviva Digicare+ Workplace App providing you with services including annual health checks, access to Digital GP’s, mental health consultations, 2nd medical opinions and much more
- Employee Assistance Programme where you can access free webinars for stress awareness and counselling sessions
- Group Income Protection which will support you with an income if you are unable to work long term, as a result of a qualifying illness or injury
- Health and Wellbeing Programmes and apps including gym discounts, private medical insurance, cycle to work scheme, meditation sessions and much more
- Life Assurance cover
- Workplace pension
- Benefits Hub providing discounts to over 700 services including cinema tickets, food and drink, travel, and high street stores
- Dental Insurance
- Free legal help and discounted lawyer led legal services
