We have a fantastic opportunity for a SEND Transport Driver to join our healthcare transportation team based in Swindon.

This role involves transporting children with Special Educational and Disability Needs (SEND) to and from healthcare or educational facilities. It\’s a rewarding yet challenging opportunity where you can quickly become a valuable member of our team.
The position entails: Part-time, Monday to Friday during term time only. Shifts are typically from 07:45-09:45 and 15:15-17:15 (shift times are examples and may vary based on travel time), totaling 20-30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist children with special educational needs during transport, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Drive carefully and considerately, ensuring safe transportation using company vehicles.
- Support children in boarding and alighting, providing physical assistance if needed.
- Maintain a calm and positive environment, addressing behavioral or emotional needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and school staff.
- Follow all safety protocols, including seat belts and seating arrangements.
- Be familiar with safeguarding policies.
- Report incidents or concerns promptly.
- Help maintain vehicle cleanliness.
Do you have what it takes?
- Full UK driving license with no more than three penalty points.
- Pass a DVLA D4 Medical.
- Obtain and hold a PHV License (assistance available).
- Deliver excellent customer service.
- Display calm, considerate, and careful driving habits.
- Be an effective and confident communicator.
- Demonstrate team collaboration.
- Pass an Enhanced DBS check, fully funded by EMED Group.
