1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated member of staff to join us working with a fantastic South Tyneside school in Jarrow. The role involves supporting a child on an 11 basis with additional needs. We are seeking individuals with extensive experience with SEN pupils, either in a school-based setting or through lived experience.

This role is part-time to accommodate the needs of this child (8:30 AM – 1:00 PM) and is available to start as soon as possible.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Right to Work in the UK
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (processing assistance available if needed, which may impact immediate start)

Preferred skills:

• Knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies for SEND
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills
• A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
