Lead the Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Team for Barnard Castle, overseeing a portfolio of products in New Product Introduction, sterile manufacturing, clean liquids, and dermatological applications. Manage product lifecycle, drive improvements in supply chains, and develop technical strategy aligned with central teams. Lead and develop a team of technical professionals to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of core technical processes for product lifecycle management, NPI, scale-up, and tech transfer.
- Support site leadership, contribute to strategic planning, and collaborate across functions.
- Manage product lifecycle with a focus on process improvements, batch deviations, and regulatory compliance.
- Facilitate Continued Process Verification activities.
- Lead technical investigations and resolve issues impacting supply and product performance.
- Participate in the GSK MSAT community for strategic input.
- Proactively manage talent, including succession planning and capability development.
Qualifications
Basic
- Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical process development, tech transfer, and project management.
- Leadership experience in biotech manufacturing (>5 years).
- Experience with FDA and EMEA product registration.
- Knowledge of GMP, ICH Guidelines, FDA/EU validation practices.
Preferred
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and judgment.
- Proven track record of accomplishments.
