We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Functional Consultant with deep Tax expertise, particularly in the SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) module, to support a large-scale global rollout. As part of the SAP program, you will join the Tax Workstream and help implement and localise the SAP Tax and Reporting solution across 30+ offices worldwide. You will collaborate with Systems Integrator (SI), local office stakeholders, and the central program team to analyse local tax requirements and configure scalable and compliant SAP S/4HANA solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the rollout of SAP Document and Reporting Compliance (DRC) module across multiple global locations.
- Analyse, validate, and gather tax and statutory reporting requirements from local offices and tax teams.
- Design, configure, and customize tax functionalities within SAP S/4HANA to meet both global and local compliance requirements.
- Work closely with the implementation partner (SI) to ensure correct solution design, testing, and deployment.
- Support localisation activities for VAT, GST, e-invoicing, SAF-T, and other country-specific tax/reporting obligations.
- Ensure alignment with the global SAP architecture and templates.
- Collaborate with the SAP technical team and integration workstreams for proper data handling and automation of tax reporting.
- Provide functional documentation, test cases, and user training materials.
- Support change management and stakeholder engagement across regional and country offices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of SAP Functional experience with strong expertise in Tax configuration and statutory reporting.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) module is essential.
- Prior experience working on global SAP S/4HANA implementations or rollouts, particularly in tax or finance domains.
- Solid understanding of indirect tax (VAT, GST) processes and global compliance frameworks.
- Experience working with multi-country, multicultural teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, solution design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud – Professional Services edition or similar cloud-based implementations.
- Background in working within a large consulting or professional services environment (e.g., Bain, BCG, Deloitte, Accenture).
- Understanding of SAP Activate methodology and Agile project delivery.
- Familiarity with local compliance regulations in one or more of the following regions: EMEA, APAC, Americas.
- SAP Certification in S/4HANA or DRC is a plus.
